The Specialized Neuroscience Research Programs (SNRPs) are an initiative under the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). Participating institutions cooperate to plan, coordinate, and direct research and research training programs to attract, retain, and develop future minority neuroscience health and research professionals.

The UTSA SNRP, “Quantitative Neurobiology,” supports two diverse Research Projects and two Cores. Our mission is to develop Neuroscience research at UTSA through collaborative programs that emphasize training in rigorous, state-of-the-art quantitative methods.

The UTSA SNRP is a joint effort with researchers from The University of Utah School of Medicine and The Medical University of South Carolina.http://snrp.nih.gov/about_SNRP/about.htmhttp://snrp.nih.gov/about_SNRP/about.htmResearch.htmlCores.htmlhttp://www.hmbg.utah.edu/program.htmlhttp://www.hmbg.utah.edu/program.htmlhttp://www.musc.edu/http://www.musc.edu/shapeimage_3_link_0shapeimage_3_link_1shapeimage_3_link_2shapeimage_3_link_3shapeimage_3_link_4shapeimage_3_link_5shapeimage_3_link_6shapeimage_3_link_7
